Unstoppable is WCAG 2.1 Compliant and NVDA Compatible!

The current pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns/stay-at-home orders have helped us understand the importance of DevOps and Collaboration tools. It also has made us understand the importance of accessible tools and websites for people with disabilities. In order to adjust to the high demand, Addteq worked to update Unstoppable for Jira and Confluence in two major ways.

WCAG 2.1 Compliance

World wide web consortium made WCAG 2.1 the recommended standards in June 2018. It is also a legal requirement in the European Union public sector websites and is the recommended guideline for many other countries. Unstoppable will make your Atlassian tools compliant to WCAG 2.0 and most recently, WCAG 2.1 Level AA.  We also adhere to the standards of 508 compliance. You can learn more about Unstoppable’s Accessibility support list by viewing our VPAT document

We have also hired our first visually impaired employee as a Quality Assurance tester for our accessibility app. Allowing us to understand the needs of the visually impaired even further. Learn more about Nathan below!

NVDA Compatability

NVDA has slowly become the favored screen reading software amongst the visually impaired, or low sight individuals. In our latest release of Unstoppable, we made NVDA compatible with Unstoppable, to expand the app to more users across the world. So now you can use your favorite screen-reader and stay collaborative while working in your favorite Atlassian tools.
